Learning More Clown Magic.
-a more advanced look at silks, noses, gimmicks, and productions.
This tutorial is a more advanced lesson in silk and clown magic.
It can serve as a part two for The Silk Vanish tutorial.
In the silk vanish tutorial we were dealing with a trick that has had it’s secret exposed a lot to the general public, in this tutorial we will be dealing with tricks even many Magicians are not that familiar with.
These tricks have the element of surprise, do to the fact that there simply isn’t very many people doing clown magic.
Also it should be understood that in Clown Magic, the goal is not so much to “fool” the spectator, but as to “fool” oneself.
Don’t worry so much about frying the spectator with something impossible to figure out, worry more about the animation of your character, if done well, the people won’t care one way or the other about the strength of the effect, especially if the effect isn’t directed at them, but at you the clown.
They will love being in on the joke that the clown doesn’t know what’s going on.
This makes for a great fun loving audience, kids are really great at playing a long, but I’ve work for some of the fiercest or even the most sophisticated adult crowds, who will instantly turn into children and love the game.
In this tutorial we will be doing more of a pro’s session, and we will be assuming you know much of what has been taught in previous tutorials here.
Below is an example of only one of the many tricks we will be learning today that will teach us basic moves, gimmicks, and plots that can be interchangeable to create a completely new and different routine.
So let’s take a look how I approach this and many other clown tricks with the emphasis on silks, in this tutorial below.
