Magician Formation.

Magician Formation has suffered greatly in the modern world.

Most young people have no clue that being a Magician is even a subculture.

Sadly many reading this will feel compelled to disagree with me, but only because they don’t really even know what I’m describing.

The Modern Formation has turned into a commercial enterprise. This racket is a small group of salesmen, creating one trick wonders and selling as many as they can to those who know nothing of the concept of Formation.

They sell the how, but they never teach the why.

Insult to injury, these marketers know this, but are more concerned with their bottom line than their customers or worse yet the public that must endure the bad magic it produces.

These salesmen only value the art of magic as a product or click bait, not as a real art-form, or way of life, or a philosophy.

This has all been spawned on by the internet to ridiculous proportions.

Actual Formation in the past has always been done through personal apprenticeship, mentorship, and good old fashion book learning, practice and experimentation.

Knowing how to do a trick does not make you a Magician.

Knowing how magic works, and how to practice and uniquely create the art, now that makes you a Magician.

Being a Magician is a unique perpetual state of mind.

And our Fraternity teaches you how to form this state of mind.

Our goal like Harlan Tarbell, Chavez, The Bamberg Dynasty and all the old ones, is to create Real Magicians, to create Masters, not customers.

Today in this webinar our main theme will be -Openers, but really, we will be going over a ton of other things too.

Wand Magic, crowd building, noise making ideas, working slow pitches, amplifiers, coins, and more.

It really feels more like a couple of guys in a session.

In these new school live stream webinars, Doug gives lessons to his students watching and has guest speakers.

Makoto and I were honored to be asked to speak at this one.

The highlight of the webinar is Makotos pre-recorded video lesson and trick tutorial.

He wasn’t able to be there live, because he had some really important business scheduled for that time slot, so he made a really incredible pre-recorded tutorial for us to watch and talk about.
